Last year I had the opportunity to create all the motion graphics for a new documentary about classical music called, Meastro featuring Paavo Järvi produced by Endeavor Pictures and Ford D’Aprix directed by David Donnelly.
I started out creating 3-D renders for events and for props that I needed to get built for TV shows and movies. I found that it was easier to communicate complex ideas on constriction drawings with a 3-d picture attached. Recently, I use 3-D in my motion graphics and VFX composites.
I have been so inspired by EJ at Eyedesign.com and his tutorials on the cell Shader for Cinema 4D. I have been go through his tutorials for the past few days non stop. I highly recommend them if you don’t already know about Eyedesign.com.
This video is just a few tests in Cinema 4D, looking at various techniques.
This is a sample test for a confiserie – not real, just a style test.
In this video I demonstrate one basic method for creating a basic wooden chair in Cinema 4D. I had to fill a room with tables and chairs for a quick fly by so I didn’t need a ton of detail.
It will be difficult for me to complete describe my relationship to photography. It is a life long passion and yet not something I can call a profession. I just like taking pictures. I have learned how to make the picture come out good but with every picture there is an element of chance. After…
Here is a montage of motion graphic sample from 2012 – A newer reel in available upon request.
Just started working on a poster for PhotoLoversFrankfurt Meet-up group.
Came across these photos today of Coralina Cataldi Tassoni on the Empire State Building. We had a fun photo-shoot that day.
I finally got my own copy of Video Co-pilot’s, Element 3-d and I really like it. I’ve been quickly going through the tutorials and I think it’s great to have to this kind of power right inside After Effects and although Cinema 4-D and After Effects are even more compatible, as of late, I think…
Just putting the finishing touches on a new website for the Helmut Lindt Paint Company. You can see the site here http://www.malerfachbetrieb-lindt.de/
Many excited projects happening around Mark Canter’s new Book The Bastard besides the cover I am also creating book trailers, posters, and a web site. I have created quite a few book covers over the past years.
Just working on some modeling techniques, found this exercise very helpful.
Have been doing a few experiments with Trapcode MIR in After Effects. This video is designed for 2 screens. Interesting but not sure where to use them.
Created to be projected 35 meters wide (114.9 ft). Each video was made by stitching together 3 HD videos creating a 5760 pixel wide movie using a custom built tripod. This four-night event featured a different video each night to compliment the night’s theme. Each video was three hours long. I went to the Caribbean…
Recently started working with a very talented Musician Lukasz Lowkis. Also, I’ve been playing with Trapcode Mir, so I made this just for fun. A video for his song Soul Hunter.
What a lot of fun we had shooting in Vienna last week. You can see the results from the shooting in Runners Point’s social media and advertising. Before this we had a great shoot in Rome, Italy.
Recently returned from Italy where I shot a video for BaerMedia and Runners Point. I have been in Rome before but this time I got to see some many different areas of the city I normally wouldn’t see. It was great. These are some shots from the location-scout.
